Step V.

Install gear (20) and key (10) onto shaft install shim (9) spring washer (8) and locknut (2) onto shaft. Tighten

nut to obtain rolling torque of 10-15 inch-pounds.

Step VI.

Install assembly into main housing. Install and tighten four equally spaced bolts (3)

Step VII.

Check gear backlash- should be 0.007- 0.018 inches. If backlash seems high remove input shaft assembly and

install additional shims under gear (20). If backlash seems low remove shims under gear.

Step VIII.

Once backlash is set remove both bolt in caps install gasket sealer and bolt lock together torquing bolts to 33-

40ft lbs. Press seals (11) and (17) into place and fill with proper oil. See Maintenance section for Information.
